Christmas Eve

It's Christmas Eve! My favorite holiday of the year is tomorrow. I love the celebration of Christs' birth, I love the getting together with family, I love the food, fun, light, trees....well, you get the idea.
I just returned home after having our annual Christmas Eve dinner with family at the Olive Garden restaurant. We then headed over to my brother's house for desert and a little more fellowship. For the first time in my memory it was storming on Christmas Eve. I'm talking the works here.....massive downpour, lightning, wind - heck, the power even went out! Once the lights went, my ever resourceful sister in law pulled candles out from every nook and cranny and we had plenty of light. The lack of power shifted our focus even more to the "relationship" part of the family get together. Of course there was plenty of silliness, laughing and cutting up. You know, in a way it was a real blessing for the power going out. It helped us all to realize just what a great family we have. I am truly blessed.
I pray God's blessings on all of you, my blogger friends. I appreciate the part you play in my life. Merry Christmas my friends!

Ho Hum

Hello Blogger friends.

Not much new to report from Sarch's world at the moment. I am working a lot of hours which is a good thing considering the state of our economy. Many of my friends and counterparts are either looking for work or concerned that they might be in the future. Fortunately, at least for the moment the Lord has blessed my company with continued decent sales numbers. You betcha Sarch is keeping his company lifted up in prayer. Hopefully the demand for lots of hours will continue! My hope is that things continue to go well on the economic front for any who happen to stumble onto this blog entry.

Today after church my better half and I are heading south to visit my son at school. He is in a Christmas play at the church he attends down there. I am looking forward to seeing him. With the gas prices down like they are it should be a much cheaper trip than in the past.

Tammy and I went to see the movie "Transporter 3" last night. Totally unrealistic....but man those were some cool fight scenes! Jason Statham comes back for the third time as Frank Martin. That son of a gun is buff. With all the contrived excuses they created to get his shirt off, I considered asking my wife to go wait in the car. No need to create any expectations that Sarch can't possibly meet. However it was so cold last night that I figured she would have wanted to have the car running to keep the heat going - guess it was better to let her oggle Jason for a couple of hours than have to stop and fill up the gas tank on the way home :-)
Enough rambling. The cold weather has kept me from doing much riding on Silver the last couple of weeks, however I think I recognize that familiar "itch" starting for jumping on the two wheeler and heading out to....somewhere. Once it starts in earnest it won't matter how cold it is, so hopefully I'll have a ride to post about soon.
God bless and have a great Christmas season!
